Viganj
Windsurfing capital of Croatia is actually a small, charming Dalmatian town located at the narrowest part of the channel between Peljesac and Korcula.
It is oriented to the south, with a very pleasant climate. This natural botanical garden is protected from "bura" (a strong north-eastern wind) by mount St. Ilija (961 m) on the north and basks in the Mediterranean sun for more than 260 days in a year. From early spring till late autumn, very often a pleasant north-western wind called "maestral" is blowing, starting mostly at noon, reaching it's peak at 4, 5 PM, and dying out with the sunset.
Viganj is always on the move.
Climate and location have made Viganj an essential European destination for an active vacation. Everything in Viganj is always on the move; windsurfing, kitesurfing, SUP (for those sad days when there is no wind), cycling, off-road cycling, enduro, downhill, tracking, hiking, jogging...
